Hay Interiors was established in 1969 to manufacture and supply Loose Covers, but as the business grew so did the need to supply clients with other soft furnishings and drapery such as Curtains, Blinds, Upholstery, Pelmets, Cushions, Shutters, Tracks and Accessories.
Hi, my name is Annie and I will be the person who comes out to your home or business and consults with you. If I’m not out meeting with clients I will be at the back of the Nedlands curtain and blinds shop sewing curtains or making blinds – or making coffee for my staff.
I was born in Iran and learnt my sewing skills there. At the age of 23 I moved to England where I was trained in the art of being a curtain maker and made bespoke made to measure curtains for over 7 years.
In 2004 I moved to Australia with my family, and for three years contracted my sewing skills to Perth curtain businesses. In 2007 I purchased Hay Interiors Curtains and Blinds from the founders, Kevin and Patricia Hay.
I deal directly with customers from jobs as simple as replacing one curtain in a room, to working alongside builders, architects and interior designers on new builds, renovations and introducing electric motorised blinds and curtains as part of home automated systems.
My point of difference is that through my lifetime of curtain making experience, and awareness of the latest trends, I am well positioned to provide advice on the most suitable window treatments for my customers, the right fabric or material and lastly the right colour scheme. All tailored to meet your vision and practical purposes.

Whilst our curtain and blind shop is located in Nedlands, we do work throughout the Perth metropolitan region and our curtains and blinds are in households throughout Peppermint Grove, City Beach, Floreat, Claremont, Crawley, Dalkeith, Cottesloe, Swanbourne, Applecross, Subiaco and South Perth.
Our survival is a result of our commitment to provide advice which is in the best interests of our clients, and in delivering a product which stands the test of time.
